- Single atom trap and Rydberg atoms
A trapping and manipulating of only a single or a few atoms in a optical trap allows us to study the interaction between two atoms. We have studied the highly exited Rydberg atoms in a small optical trap. As the interaction between Rydberg atoms is extremely large, we will be able to realize a quantum correlation or entanglement between two atoms.
